Nutrition Essentials for Seniors
The senior population often faces barriers to healthy living and has unique challenges in meeting the recommendations for nutrition, physical activity or both. Optimal nutrition and adequate levels of physical activity are integral in preventing illness and lessening the burden of chronic disease for older adults. Designed specifically for allied health professionals, this course will provide health coaches and fitness professionals a better understanding of age-related physiological changes, common nutritional problems and dietary recommendations for older adults.
