Heather has been involved in the fitness and sports industry throughout her life. She received a Division I four year volleyball scholarship at Western Carolina University were she also received her B.S. in Sport Management, Concentration: Exercise Science and Facility Management.

Finding her way in this populated industry she began working for Commander of Navy Installations Command (CNIC), based out of Joint Base Anacostia- Bolling (JBAB), as a Supervisory Fitness Specialist. Heather provided onsite support to many of the Navy’s top fitness facilities to include all Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii fitness facilities as well as on site support to many of Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) fitness facilities. During the duration at these facilities, Heather was able to overcome many barriers specific for each installation to support the Navy mission readiness goal. Also during her time with CNIC, Heather worked overseas at Naval Air Station Sigonella (NASSIG), in Italy, where she was the Moral Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Fitness Director. Within months of being onboard she was able to step in and make substantial cost cut reductions for the MWR program to help sustain other valuable assets. She was also able to assess MWR base needs by analyzing current population. This in turn created a more valuable program to those active duty, dependents and civilian workers stationed at NASSIG.
